If you enter your address in the form, we record four things:
The IP address is kept only to make abuse of the form traceable. We do not use it to profile you, and we delete it along with the rest of your record.
Because you asked us to. Nothing is added to the list until you click the link in the confirmation email, which means the legal basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing is not retroactive — it does not undo emails already sent — but it stops everything from that point.
One confirmation email when you sign up, and after that only announcements about work being published on this site. No advertising for anyone else, no daily newsletter, no sequences designed to sell you something on a timer.
Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and using it removes your record rather than flagging it as inactive. You can also write to noreply@huddam.com and ask us to delete it, and we will do it within thirty days without asking why.
Nobody. The list is not sold, rented, shared or handed to any advertising network. It sits as a plain file on the same commercial server that serves this page, and it is not copied to any newsletter platform, analytics tool or third-party service.
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. That means your browser contacts Google's servers when the page opens, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. We have no control over what Google does with it. If you would rather that did not happen, a browser extension that blocks third-party requests will stop it, and the site will still work with fallback fonts.
There is nothing else. No analytics, no tracking pixels, no embedded social widgets, no advertising scripts.
This site sets no cookies. Nothing is written to your browser's storage, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
Until you unsubscribe, or until the project is wound up, whichever comes first. Addresses that never confirm are deleted after thirty days.
If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, the GDPR gives you the right to see a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, and receive it in a portable format. Write to noreply@huddam.com and we will answer within a month. If you think we have handled it badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority.
This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly add anyone under sixteen to the list. If you believe a child has signed up, tell us and we will remove the record.
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it and subscribers are told by email before the change takes effect.
